Suzuki planning to launch its sports motorbike Hayabusa for the sport bike fanatic in the India. The latest model is also named as GSX 1300R which was distinctively driven by Mr. John Abraham in ‘Dhoom’ movieThe bike could hit the top speed of 397 km/h in the year 2004 but its present making has limited speed up to 299 km/h.
The bike is powered by 1340cc engine in line four-engine which would price up to enormous Rs 11 lakh. This makes the industry drop their expectation on number in country. This motorbike will be launched in the 1st week of September The demand for such sporty and big motorbikes is in fact more of hype. Cumulatively such bikes sell just about 400 units/annum.
India is not the place for these bikes. We don’t have the roads like they have in developed countries for them and it is not fun to ride them at say 70 km per hour. We are nevertheless launching the Hayabusa

Sizzler: 2007 Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000
Here’s the one bike we’d really love to get our hands on – the 2007 Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000, which was recently unveiled at the Almeria circuit in Spain. Riders Cal Crutchlow and Chris Walker put in some hot laps over a three-day testing session on this 4.3km long Spanish circuit and were happy with the results. Suzuki Stratosphere 1100 to be launched in 2009
Remember the wild old Suzuki Katana 1100 from the early-1980s? Suzuki certainly do, which is probably why they showed the Stratosphere concept at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. In spirit and in style, the Stratosphere seemed to be the modern-day equivalent of the original Katana. And the best part is, though it’s taken some time for Suzuki to make up their minds, it now seems they’ve decided to put the bike into production. Expect the Stratosphere to hit the roads by 2009!The Stratosphere will be powered by Suzuki’s all-new, 1100cc, inline six-cylinder engine, which we think should easily make close to 200 horsepower. Suzuki say this engine is exceptionally smooth, yet as compact as four-cylinder engines of the same displacement.The bike will also get an automatic gearbox, but one that would also allow the rider to shift gears manually if he wants to. From auto mode, the system will automatically shift to manual mode if the rider uses the clutch. There’ll also be other hi-tech bits like keyless start, colour LCD display panel, LED headlamps, GPS and advanced anti-theft features.Like other sportsbikes with six-cylinder engines – the Honda CBX, Benelli Sei and Kawasaki Z1300 of the 1980s – the Suzuki Stratosphere 1100 should be able to offer great straight-line performance. The Norton NRV588 – possibly the most intriguing British motorcycle in recent years – will be raced during the Mallory Park Summer Festival motorcycle races at the end of this month.Developed and built by Brian Crighton, the NRV588 is fitted with the revolutionary twin-rotor Wankel rotary engine, which is now fuel-injected and produces about 170bhp at 11,500rpm. The engine also gets variable inlet tracts and ride-by-wire tech. In conventional engine terms, the NRV’s engine capacity is 588cc and with its carbonfibre fairing (made by Harris Performance), the bike only weighs 130 kilos.The NRV588’s twin-spar aluminium chassis is made by Spondon, and race-spec Ohlins suspension is used front and rear. ‘The bike feels like it's powered by an extremely potent electric motor. There's a huge range of seamless, linear power from 3,000rpm all the way up to the 11,500rpm rev limiter. Throttle response is crisp without being abrupt, and the engine is so smooth that you have no sense of feel that it's time to shift. This caused me to bump into the rev limiter often…,’ says Alan Cathcart, who rode the NRV588 for Sport Rider magazine some time back.British 250 GP racing champ, Lee Dickinson is the man who’ll be riding the NRV588 at Mallory Park at the end of this month. ‘It is a brilliant project to be involved with, and I hope we can put on a good show straight out the box,’ he says. ‘The engine characteristic is different to anything else I've ever ridden. When it was launched back in 2006, the MV Agusta F4 Veltro Pista cost the equivalent of US$90,000. The Pista (the Italian word for ‘track’) was only meant for track use, and was not street-legal. MV only made 23 units of this bike. A bit more common was the F4 Veltro Strada, the road-legal version, of which 99 units were made. So does the Veltro rank alongside the F4 Senna, Tamburini and CC versions as one of the most expensive, most exclusive motorcycles MV Agusta ever made? You bet.Fettled by MV Agusta Corse (MV’s racing division, which was recently shut down…) and hand-built in San Marino by the Cagiva Research Centre, the 159-kilo Veltro Pista was fitted with MV’s 998cc inline-four, taken from the earlier F4 Tamburini. A titanium exhaust was fitted on this bike, which, along with other mods, pushed power output up to 185 horsepower at 12,000rpm. Top speed was all of 305km/h.Carbonfibre was used for making the Veltro Pista’s bodywork, and magnesium and titanium bits were everywhere. Lightweight Brembo wheels, Pirelli slicks, magnesium alloy swingarm, and a race-spec quickshifter were also fitted. High-spec suspension components were used – fully-adjustable Sachs shock (with ride-height adjuster) at the rear, and fully adjustable 50mm Marzocchi USD fork at the front, with billet aluminum brackets for the radially-mounted four-piston Brembo brakes.The cheaper Veltro Strada, which cost about US$72,000, weighed a bit more – 170 kilos – but got the same engine and tubular trellis frame as the Pista. Of course, the Strada came with lights, turn-indicators and a street-legal exhaust system, which kept power down to only 174bhp. (The racing exhaust also given to customers, but in a separate box – to be used on the track only.) And there was no quickshifter on the Strada. Still, there was more performance here than most mortals would ever be able to use on the street. Or on the track.When MCN tested the Veltro Pista, they said, ‘The MV goes like nothing you’ll ever find on the road. It bludgeons you with a hammer blow of gale-force, ear-splitting, face altering acceleration. It’s all you can do to keep up with the relentless speed the Veltro is happy to dish up for your masochistic enjoyment.’‘The power at low rpm isn’t great, not helped by the tall gearing, but once in its stride – at around 6000rpm – it takes off, all the way to 13,000rpm, when a selection of lights flash at you to signal it’s time to change gear. Coming off the gas and on to the freight-train-strength four-piston Brembos, the mechanical slipper clutch does its thing. Bang, bang, down through the gears, popping and banging on the overrun, don’t blip the throttle, and you glide serenely on to your chosen corning line. The bike has so much grip, so much composure and feedback from the chassis that it seems to laugh at your attempts to go fast through the corners,

The rather remarkable MonoTracer, which fits right into the growing trend of ‘motorcycles’ with more than two wheels is on track for going into production. The MonoTracer is currently being shown at the Geneva Automobile Salon, and the Switzerland-based Peraves say they will ramp up their production facilities to manufacture up to 100 units of this vehicle in 2009.The Peraves MonoTracer features a self-supporting composite-monocoque chassis that’s made of kevlar and carbonfibre, bonded with epoxy-resin and reinforced with aluminium crash and roll bars. The suspension is comprised of a 50mm USD Marzocchi fork up front, and Monolever swingarm at the back.Peraves have used the BMW K1200R’s liquid-cooled, 16-valve, 1171cc, 130bhp inline-four in the MonoTracer. The engine drives the rear wheel via BMW’s shaft-drive system and the gearbox is a sequential, manual-shift, four-speed (plus one reverse) unit. An automatic clutch is optional.The high-tech MonoTracer gets three 320mm brake discs with four-piston calipers. ABS is standard fitment, while an anti-spin ASP system is optional. All controls – clutch, brakes, gear-shift and throttle etc – work like those on a conventional motorcycle. The fully enclosed MonoTracer has a sophisticated ventilation system, and full airconditioning is optional.With a dry weight of 460-485kg (depending on the options chosen), the 130bhp MonoTracer accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds, and top speed is in excess of 250km/h. And while those figures are impressive, the MonoTracer’s real calling card is its ability to safely lean into very fast corners. With its retractable stabilizer wheels – which deploy automatically when needed, in less than half a second – the MonoT can lean at angles of up to 52 degrees, which is anywhere between seven to 10 degrees more than what most superbikes ever do.So yes, the funky-cool Peraves MonoTracer looks like a lot of fun, but it’s also terribly expensive – about 52,500 euros (US$81,000) plus VAT. A 160-170bhp Yamaha R1 isn’t, of course, fast enough for some people. Which is why there are NOS kits, turbochargers and superchargers in this world. And, right on cue, here we have a late-model carbureted Yamaha R1 fitted with a Rotrex supercharger, with the engine producing around 200 horsepower. At least now it should be fast enough for most people…The Rotrex supercharger kit consists of the charger unit, engine cover, drive belt, oil cooler/oil container, oil hoses, intake tubes, air filter, plenum chamber, blow-off valve, carb mods, bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, two head gaskets and modified exhaust. Other mods include an Akrapovic exhaust, Brembo brakes with four-piston radial-mount calipers and high-spec Ohlins fork and shock.The owner says the bike is running very low boost, so does not need fancy new pistons or cranks. ‘It starts on the button every time and is a joy to ride. I’d recommend this mod to everybody. It is a complete pussycat if you want it to be, or an animal at the twist of the wrist. There is power everywhere…,’ says an obviously very happy R1 owner.Including labour charges and seup, the R1 supercharger kit cost US$7,000. Maintenance routine is said to be the same as that for a regular R1.

Honda are ready for the 40th Tokyo Motor Show, which will be held in Japan from the 27th of October till the 11th of November 2007. And right now, they're giving you a sneak preview of what you can perhaps expect from Honda in 2008! The prototypes you see above - the Evo6, the CB1100F and the CB1100R - stand a good chance of going into production next year.
The Evo 6 is powered by the Honda Goldwing's 1800cc, six-cylinder engine and is likely to be a powerful beast. If the bike is actually produced next year, we suppose that six-cylinder engine will be in a much higher state of tune than it is in the Goldwing - the Evo6 should have no trouble taking on the Suzuki B-King, or even the Suzuki Stratosphere and the Yamaha V-Max, both of which are expected to come out in 2009.
Both the other two bikes are powered by 1100cc inline-fours and while the CB1100F seems to be a modern interpretation of a traditional 1980s UJM, it's the CB1100R which looks totally, radically hot! It has that 1980s, Freddie Spencerera Japanese cafe racer cool and we so love this bike. It's just so awesome! Also see:

With Suzuki having launched a heavily reworked Hayabusa for 2008, Kawasaki couldn’t possibly do nothing about it. So we have the 2008 ZZR1400, and while it looks more or less the same as before, Kawasakisay they’ve made small, but significant changes everywhere, improving the bike significantly.To begin with, there’s the ZZR1400’s 190bhp, 1352cc, DOHC inline-four, which is now fully compliant with Euro III emissions regulations. Kawasakiclaim that the engine’s new intake ports and fine-atomising fuel injectors reduce mechanical noiseand help boost power throughout the rev range. (This is supposed to take care of some riders’ complaints that at lower speeds, the ZZR1400 didn’t feel like a 190bhp, 1400cc sportsbike.) Also, a third honeycomb catalyzer has now been added in the exhaust collector, and this joins the two catalyzers already present in each silencer.The ZZR1400’schassis has also been revised – the aluminum monocoque is now die cast (rather than gravity cast) for reduced weight and increased stiffness. In keeping with the bike’s hyper sports-tourer positioning, ergonomics have been further refined for long-distance riding. And with a price tag of US$11,999 the big Ninja remains an excellent value for money proposition

roehr 1250sc-180hp supercharged v -twin
The Roehr 1250sc pre production prototype has been completed and plans are to begin production late this year. The bike is powered by a 180 hp supercharged Revolution engine. This should be one extremely interesting motorcycle. I like the looks and I really like the blown Revolution engine. Final price has not been set.
Let’s see, a 180 hp supercharged American made V-Twin sportbike. Yep, I like it!

super charged buell xb12s
The last time we checked out Ludovic Lazareth’s site over in France was when he was showing off the Trirazuma. Our favorite French builder has been hard at work and this Supercharged buell is the latest bike to roll out of his shop.
There aren’t a lot of details on his site but he took a Buell XB12S Lightning and added a blower from a Mini Cooper S, a unit he’s used before on other bikes. There’s just enough of a guard around the belt to keep your knee out of trouble. Then he added single sided front suspension, aluminum chassis modifications and new front bodywork around the headlights. The rearview mirror is impossibly small but that’s just being picky. Pretty interesting and just enough excess power to keep most anyone happy.
Lazareth has a very unique style and his work continues to amaze. The first time I saw his V-max with single sided swingarms front and rear I knew he was on a path of his own and he’s been turning out great work ever since.

Biking just got hotter with the new Yamaha YZF-R15. Japan’s global bike giant Yamaha is rolling out the brand new sports motorcycle YZF-R15 for India motorcycling enthusiasts.
The YZF-R15 will be the first motorcycle in India with six gears after the old Yamaha RD 350. The engine is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke single cylinder four-valve fuel injected engine. Liquid cooling on the YZF R15 is a first for motorcycles in India. The 150cc engine produces 16 bhp. A lot of people would not be all that happy with that 150 cc specification of the YZF-R15. However, the 16 bhp and 6 gears would keep a lot of wannabe racers satisfied.
In India, Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd’s stylish 150 cc high-end bike will take on the market segment so far ruled by Hero Honda’s Karizma, Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-FI and TVS Apache RTR.
How would it fare on the road against the Karizma? Initial guesses are that this 150cc crotch rocket would beat the Karizma in acceleration stakes. Top speeds are another issue altogether. However, we will have to wait for the initial test rides of the YZF-R15 to come in to have any clarity at all on this.
Yamaha India believes that the new model would kick start a new experience altogether for Yamaha enthusiasts.The model is being tipped as one of the most technologically advanced bikes in India. Yamaha in India is aggressively promoting YZF-R15, which will come sporting a price tag of close to Rs 100,000, and is targeting a sale of 25,000 units between now and December.
The pricing is a surprise. It was believed, post Auto-Expo 2008, that this motorcycle is likely to be priced quite a bit above Rs 1 lakh when it hits the roads. Yamaha has taken care of that; psychologically, that rs 1 lakh marke is a killer and might have ruined its chances in India.
The YZF-R15 motorcycle, looks-wise, takes after the Yamaha R1 superbike. The motorcycle is available in two colours, racing blue and black. This is also India’s first motorcycle with a full-fairing in front - lookswise, we can safely call it the best in the market.
Positioning it properly for the Indian market, Yamaha hopes for a re-emergence in the country’s bike mart after a slew of commuter bikes which the company ahs been churning out in the last decade after the iconic Yamaha RX 100.
As part of the launch, the company has also unveiled a series of events with test rides and is happy with the response. Yamaha Motor India Pvt Ltd today it plans to invest about Rs 800 crore in the next three years for product development, capacity expansion and marketing initiatives.

YAMAHA FZ(150)
IMO The best looking among the 3, the Yamaha FZ is a mean-looking naked street bike, again made for India inheriting from the European FZ1. FZ will share R15’s 150cc single cylinder engine but will be air-cooled, no further specs available right now. Yamaha FZ 150 will to be launched in India by November 2008.
YAMAHA YZF R15
Sports oriented, Yamaha YZF R15 is a track ready, made for India bike inheriting from the Yamaha R1. The new single cylinder, 4-stroke, 150cc engine has 4-valves, is liquid cooled and will have Fuel Injection. The bike also has front and rear disc brakes. R15 will be launched in India some time in June-July of 2008. Though price and performance specs are not available at this time, current speculation is it’ll be priced around Rs 90,000 and the power output will be around 18 bhp.
